July 08, 2005 : Dr. Jennifer West and Dr. Yildiz Bayazitoglu

UH and Rice AGEP participants met at Duncan Hall to view presentations by Dr. Jennifer West and Dr. Yildiz Bayazitoglu. Dr. West talked about her 'nanoshell' technology, which is an exciting new tool in the fight against cancer. Dr. Bayazitoglu spoke about her experience as a mechanical engineer, and presented statistics regarding females pursuing engineering degrees. Both presentations were very informative, as well as inspirational.
